Rental Terms & Conditions

The company G. ELENIS L.P. (for short “ELGEA GROUP” or “we,”) offers this website under the following terms and conditions (hereinafter “Agreement”). By using this website, you accept the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.

Reservations:
All reservations are made based on the vehicle category, not for a specific model. In case a vehicle in the selected category, as chosen in advance by the customer, is unavailable, always with reference to a confirmed reservation, Elgea Group reserves the right to provide the customer with a vehicle of a higher category at no additional charge to the customer.

Driver:
The minimum age requirement for using vehicles in categories A, B, C, and D, as well as scooters, is 23 years. The minimum age requirement for all other vehicle categories is 25 years. The maximum age for all categories is 75 years.

Driving License:
A valid driving license issued in Greece or the EU is required, issued at least 1 year prior to the rental start date. Citizens of non-EU countries are required to possess a valid international driving permit in addition to their national driving license.

Moto: A valid A1 Motorcycle License for 125cc is required, issued in Greece or the EU, at least 1 year prior to the rental start date. Citizens of non-EU countries are required to possess a valid international driving permit in addition to their national driving license.

Fines:
Tickets and fines due to traffic code violations are the responsibility of the renter. Additionally, the renter is responsible for paying any administrative fees where applicable.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment Methods:
For all categories, the renter must present a credit/debit card accepted by ELGEA GROUP to cover the amounts related to the deposit and the rental cost payment (for non-prepaid reservations).

Deposit Amount:
The deposit can be paid online from our website with credit, debit, and prepaid cards.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners & Discover.

Transaction Security:
All card payments are processed through the electronic payment platform “Nexi e-Commerce” of Nexi Payments Greece S.A., which uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol with 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Encryption is a way of coding information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

Balance Amount:
The remaining amount will be paid when you pick up the vehicle with cash, credit, debit, or prepaid cards.

No-show:
In the event that the renter does not show up on the agreed delivery date and time without prior notice, the company has the right to cancel the reservation after 3 hours and is entitled to withhold any payments made.

Cancellations:
The cancellation of the reservation must be made at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled date and time of the vehicle rental (always according to the exact booking time) as recorded in the company’s reservation system. If you wish to cancel a reservation, you must contact the company through the reservation system.

The following charges apply for reservation cancellations:
In the event of a cancellation notice received by ELGEA GROUP at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled start of the vehicle rental, any prepaid amount will be refunded.

In the event of a cancellation notice received by ELGEA GROUP less than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled start of the vehicle rental, no prepaid amount will be refunded.

Vehicle Delivery / Pickup from Stations:
Delivery and pickup the vehicle from stations are carried out upon the customer’s request. The additional charge for deliveries and pickups within city limits is €5 including VAT, while for deliveries and pickups outside the city, the cost is €20 including VAT.

Additional Driver:
The charge for a second driver is free of charge. For each additional driver, it is €5 per day. The maximum number of drivers is limited to 3 persons.

The maximum number of drivers for MOTOS is limited to 1 person.

Child Seat:
The charge for a child seat is set at €5 per day upon the customer’s request and subject to availability from the company. The maximum charge is capped at €50 per rental.

Fuel:
Vehicles are delivered with a FULL tank of fuel. The renter must return the car with the same amount of fuel it had at the time of collection. In case the car is returned with less fuel than initially provided (i.e., less fuel than the amount the vehicle had when collected by the customer), the customer will be charged for the fuel difference PLUS a refueling service charge of €5.

ADDITIONAL CLEANING CHARGE:
Applied if, upon return, the vehicle requires cleaning beyond the usual to prepare it for the next rental. The charge for deep cleaning is €100. For cases where only a seat or a child seat needs cleaning and not the entire interior, the charge is €50.

Accident:
In case of an accident, the customer is charged €15 for accident management expenses.

MOTO – All rental prices include basic third-party insurance. The renter is liable for any damage or theft (partial or total) caused to the rented motorcycle up to its commercial value at the time of the accident/theft. The renter pays the amount corresponding to the damage to the ELGEA GROUP motorcycle, regardless of fault, and the paid amount is refunded when and if ELGEA GROUP is compensated.

INSURANCES

CDW – Collision Damage Waiver:
The renter is fully released from liability for any damage to the Car/Motorcycle. (Excluding damages/theft caused to the underside of the car/motorcycle, tires, wheels, catalytic converter, and exhaust system):

• over 300 € + VAT provided that he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract for category A
• over 500 € + VAT provided that he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract for category B
• over 600 € + VAT provided that he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract for categories C-D
• over 700 € + VAT provided that he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract for category E
• over 800 € + VAT provided that he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract for category F
• over 1000 € + VAT provided that he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract for category G

As a necessary condition for exemption from liability, it must be proven that the damage was not caused by a violation of the traffic code.

The Security Deposit for CDW is:

• 500,00 € for Group A & B
• 700,00 € for Group C & D
• 800,00 € for Group E & F
• 1000,00 € for Group G

SCDW – Super Collision Damage Waiver:
The renter is fully released from liability for any damage to the car:

• over €250 + VAT on the condition that they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay €10 more than the CDW for each day of rental for categories B.
• over €300 + VAT on the condition that they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay €12 more than the CDW for each day of rental for categories C-D.
• over €350 + VAT on the condition that they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay €14 more than the CDW for each day of rental for categories E.
• over €400 + VAT on the condition that they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay €16 more than the CDW for each day of rental for categories F.
• over €500 + VAT on the condition that they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay €18 more than the CDW for each day of rental for categories G.

As a necessary condition for exemption from liability, it must be proven that the damage has not been caused by a violation of the traffic code.

The Security Deposit for SCDW is:

• 250,00 € for Group A & B
• 350,00 € for Group C & D
• 350,00 € for Group E & F
• 600,00 € for Group G

FDW – Full Damage Waiver:
The renter is fully released from liability for any car damage, provided that they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay the amount of:

• 12 € in addition to the CDW for each rental day for categories B
• 24 € in addition to the CDW for each rental day for categories C-D
• 28 € in addition to the CDW for each rental day for categories E
• 32 € in addition to the CDW for each rental day for categories F
• 36 € in addition to the CDW for each rental day for categories G

As a necessary condition for exemption from liability, it must be proven that the damage has not been caused by a violation of the traffic code.

The Security Deposit for FDW is:

• 100,00 € for Group A & B
• 150,00 € for Group C & D
• 200,00 € for Group E & F
• 300,00 € for Group G

PAI – Personal Accident Insurance:
The renter is not covered by Personal Accident Insurance (PAI).

Insurance premiums:
Vehicles are insured against third parties (other than the driver) for death and bodily injury up to one million three hundred thousand euros (€1,300,000.00) per accident and for material damages from third parties (excluding ELGEA GROUP vehicles) up to one million three hundred thousand euros (€1,300,000.00). In case of changes to the above limits, the minimum limits always apply, as defined by the current Greek legislation. Damages exceeding the insurance coverage limit or excluded from it will be fully paid by the customer.

LW: Tire and Glass Coverage:
The renter is fully released from liability for any damage to the tires or glesses of the car only if they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay the amount of €10 per rental day for all categories.

Theft / Fire:
The renter is fully released from liability for any damage to the car in case of fire or theft, provided they accept and sign the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pay the amount of €10 per rental day for all categories. A basic condition for the above coverage is the absence of negligence, even slight, or illegal behavior during the rental of the vehicle.

Roadside Assistance:
ELGEA GROUP vehicles are covered by 24-hour roadside assistance. The contact details for roadside assistance are specified in the rental agreement.

Helmet:
A helmet is provided free of charge to the renter and the passenger. In case of damage/theft of the helmet, the renter accepts liability for the cost of 70 €.

Vehicle Transport Outside the Country:
The transportation and driving of the car/motorcycle outside the borders of the Hellenic Republic are prohibited.

Transportation by Ship:
For the transportation of the car/motorcycle by ship, written approval from the company is required.
